Process Timeline

Westhaven, a cornerstone of Charlottesville’s history since its construction in 1965, is now embarking on an exciting redevelopment journey, guided by the Charlottesville Redevelopment and Housing Authority (CRHA) in collaboration with the community. At the heart of this process is the input of Westhaven residents, whose voices will shape the future of their neighborhood to ensure the new development reflects their needs, priorities, and aspirations.

In addition, we are working closely with faculty and students from the University of Virginia, tapping into their expertise to enrich the planning process and foster innovative, community-centered solutions. Together, we aim to create a stronger, more vibrant Westhaven that honors its past while building a brighter future for all its residents.
